Fənnin məqsədi: Fənnin tədrisi məqsədi ingilis dili üzrə qazanılmış bilik və bacarıqların nitq vərdişlərinə çevrilməsinə, ixtisas və peşə fəaliyyəti ilə bağlı şifahi və yazılı ünsiyyət, bacarıq və vərdişlərinin A2 (Pre-Intermediate) səviyyədən B1 (Intermediate) səviyyəyə inkişafına nail olmaqdır.
Fənnin təlim nəticəsi:
1. İxtisasa aid tibbi terminlərin tələffüz və mənasını öyrənə biləcək.
2. İxtisas mətnlərini oxuyub tibbi terminlər lüğəti tərtib etməyi öyrənəcək.
3. Danışıq dili ilə akademik yazılı və şifahi nitqin xüsusiyyətlərini fərqləndirməyi biləcək.
4. Elmi-tibbi mətnləri oxuyarkən və dinləyərkən əsas fikirləri seçib qeydlər apara biləcək.
5. Akademik yazı (paraqraf, icmal, məruzə) və təqdimat mətni tərtib etməyi bacaracaq.
6. Öyrənilən mətndəki əsas fikirləri şərh etməyi bacaracaq.
7. Təklif olunanan mövzu ətrafında dialoq qurmağı bacaracaq.
Fənnin məzmunu:
Azərbaycan Respublikası Elm və Təhsil Nazirliyi tərəfindən təsdiqlənmiş “Tibb” ixtisası təhsil proqramına əsasən məcburi fəndir.
Fənnin tədris məzmunu tibbi təhsil və tibbi ixtisaslar, səhiyyə qurumlarının işi, tibbi etika, həkim-xəstə ünsiyyəti ilə bağlı ümumi-tibbi mövzular, həmçinin xəstəliklər, diaqnostik müayinə və müalicə üsullarına dair mətnlər, xəstəlik hallarına dair gerçək həyat situasiyalarını əks etdirən dialoqlar əsasında xarici dildə kommunikativ bacarıqarın formalaşdırılması və inkişafı yönündə tərtib edilmişdir.
Xarici dillərin tədrisinin ilk pilləsindən peşəyönlü (həkim-həkim, həkim-xəstə, həkim-xəstə yaxınları) və akademik kommunikasiya bacarıqlarının inkişafına zəmin yaradan dil materiallarına üstünlük verilmişdir. Xarici dil təlimində səmərəli təsirə malik CLT (Communicative Language Teaching) yanaşmasına istinad etməklə problem əsaslı öyrənmə, rol oyunları, qrup qiymətləndirilməsi, qrup və ya fərdi layihələrin icrası kimi tələbə mərkəzli təlim metodlarının tətbiqi nəzərdə tutulmuşdur.
