Vəfa Nəsirova ATU-nun Oftalmologiya  kafedrasının assistentidir. O özünü  ümumi oftalmolog kimi oftalmologiya malik olduğu bilik və qazandığı  təcrübə sahəsində, pasientlər arasında daha çox rast gəlinən müxtəlif xəstəliklərin profilaktikası və müalicəsinə həsr etmişdir. Assistent  V. B. Nəsirova bakalavr dərəcəsini Oftalmologiya sahəsi üzrə almışdır, bu da pasientlərin sağlamlığı və diaqnostikası üçün möhkəm təməl təmin etmişdir. Oftalmologiya sahəsində təkmilləşmə arzusu, elmə olan həvəsi ilə dissertanturaya  daxil olmuşdur.5  ilə kimi bir müddətdə görmə orqaninda göbələk xəstəliklərinin xüsusiyyətlərinin, profilaktikası və müalicəsini öyərnilməsi ilə məşğul olmuşdur. V.B.Nəsirova epidemiologiya və göz xəstəlikləri ixtisasları üzrə tibb üzrə fəlsəfə doktoru adı almışdır. Öz akademik fəaliyyətini inkişaf etdirərək  ATU-nun Oftalmologiya kafedrasının assistenti olaraq V.B.Nəsirova gələcək oftalmologların yetişməsində böyük rol oynayır. O, müxtəlif beynəlxalq konqres, konfrans, seminarlarda, təlimlərdə aktiv iştirak edir.
